Kiras will educate all stakeholders on proper building design including government, owners, contractors, developers, and other design firms.
Innovate
Kiras will assist in increasing accessibility to innovative products and processes by facilitating bringing new products to market and existing innovative products to new markets that will aid in the ability to deliver buildings that align with our mission.
Increase Accountability
Kiras will work with local governments and building code authorities to maintain and improve building codes, increase governance, implementation, and enforcement of building codes, standards, and guidelines to protect project stakeholders.

Our Team
Patrick Vandoorne, P.Eng.
Founder
Patrick is the founder and owner of Kiras Building Design. Patrick is a Professional Engineer Licensed to practice in the Province’s of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta who specializes in structural design, building code analysis, and building envelope detailing. Patrick is a born entrepreneur, visionary, and founder with a keen business sense. He has a deep passion for building better buildings and brings his relentless resourcefulness, team building and leadership skills to Kiras.
Gabriel Dumangan, C.E.T.
Engineering Technologist
Gabriel moves Kiras forward as a Certified Engineering Technologist specializing in Revit and building code analysis. Gabriel continues to innovate Kiras’ drafting capabilities with a constant growth and improvement mentality. He executes and adds to the vision of Kiras and is an invaluable member of the team.
Laura Vandoorne
Administration Assistant
Laura is the co-founder and owner of Kiras Building Design. Laura handles the book keeping and scheduling and spends part of everyday keeping Patrick grounded. Laura is an organizer, a planner, and loves putting together company events.
